Information from A to Z

Here you can find out about how we run things at Home from Home Childcare. We need your help to keep this organisation running as smoothly as possible!

Our policy is that every child in our care as a valued experience, wether this is before and after school, full days, half days or just a few hours.  We will never exceed our Ofsted allocated child capacity and sometimes will keep numbers to a minimum in order for a child to have as much attention as possible, but always being mindful that the child needs social interaction to support their development.

School pick ups /drop offs.

We will consider school pick ups and drop offs but only if the child can have quality time with us.  We will only take on what is managable. We are lucky enough to have Childcare assistants at hand who can support in transportation, therefore all requests will be considered.

What happens if my child is ill?

It's unavoidable that small children catch all kinds of minor infections. For a speedy recovery and to prevent the other children from falling ill, children who are unwell must stay at home. Only when the fever has subsided for a whole day should you return your child to my care.

Minor snuffles and colds are not a problem but when a child has a fever and high temperature the only person they want is their parent so please keep them at home.

If the disease is infectious such as measles and chicken pox, there is an incubation period before they return so we will need a doctor's note confirming that your child is no longer contagious.
